Nursery Bedding! FINALLY!!!!

Ok! I finally ordered bedding for Cash's room! I was getting so burned out on looking at crib bedding, and Gary finally told me I had to make a decision by Sunday night because I was about to drive him nuts! I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It's like that was what was holding me back from doing anything else in the nursery. Now we can finally start painting, decorating, and I can register! I hope to have everything done by the end of July! We'll see though. Here's a picture of the bedding. I ended up ordering it from Etsy from Baby Lovin. My set is going to look a little different from the one in the picture. The inside of the bumper is going to be a solid white and the sheet will be white. The crib blanket will also be white on the opposite side of the yellow blanket.
My crib and changing table are both black. Here's another pic of the crib and changing table! Our changing table doesn't have the hutch on top.

I'm still not sure what color I want to paint the walls, but I'm leaning towards an aqua or turqouise?!?! Is that too crazy? I hope everyone likes the bedding! I found these cute prints that I thought would look neat hanging above his crib or changing table on Etsy too.
Or........

I really just put this one on the blog because I like this turqouise color. Oh....and how can you not love that sweet little bird family?!?! Maybe something like this for the color of his walls?!?! Thoughts?
That's all for the nursery for now! Hopefully, I'll do a beach post soon, but I don't have many pics. We forgot our camera so we had to take all the pictures with our iphones. :(

Birthday, DIY, Bargian Shopping, and More Nursery Ideas!

Here are a few more bedding options I found on Etsy. These are all from Cottage Belles. There's so many options!

This one might be a little too girly! :(

My friend Kari Beth sent me this picture today. What an awesome idea!!! I love that chevron wall, but I bet it took FOREVER!!!
The store that we bought our baby furniture had this bedding set in the crib we bought. I thought it was cute!

Yesterday was my birthday. Gary had told me he couldn't get away from work for lunch because he had to do a work thing. I was bummed, but I planned on meeting my grandma, cousin, aunt, and uncle at Susan's for brunch. Well as we were all sitting down, guess who walks through the door!?!? GARY! I was so excited he had gotten away to have lunch with us. It was a nice surprise. He's so sneaky! Afterwards, I went shopping and got a pedicure. That night, Gary and I ate at Bonefish. We never go there, so it was nice to go somewhere different. Afterwards, we did some grocery shopping at Target. WOO HOO! I had a great day, but I have to say it wasn't the same without my Mom being here. Her and my Dad went to Mexico this week, but they're getting back tonight! This past week has made me appreciate her even more than I already do. I'm such a momma's girl! I can't wait for them to get back! I don't know what I'd do without her.

My cousin is getting married this weekend, and she's also having a baby in July! I'm so excited for her! We are having her baby shower next weekend, so I've been working on some tissue balls (not sure if that's what they're really called) for her shower. I had never made these before, but they were super easy and CHEAP! I think it cost me a total of $6.00 to make all five. Here's a picture of the finished products.
My friend Hayley and I went to a sale that happens every year around this time. It's got the cutest refinished frames, furniture, and other home decor. I picked up this end table for a mere $38.00! It's so cute!
Well, that's all for now. We leave for the Destin on Saturday, and I'm SOOOOO ready! I can't wait to hang out on the beach all day. Pictures to come soon! :)

Gettin' Crafty

I have a lot of bare walls in my home. I finally decided to do something about the one in our master bathroom. My friend Hayley and I went to Prarie Grove to this super cute flea market called Daisies and Olives. If you haven't ever been, GO! They have the cutest stuff, and it's CHEAP! I found this idea on Etsy, and decided to try it. It's just a hodge podge of frames, mirrors, or wall sconces that you can paint to match your decor. My sweet friend Hayley bought me two of the pieces for my birthday! This is the before:
After a few coats of spray paint, here is the finished product!

I think I need to put something in the middle of the yellow oval frame, but I'm not sure what yet? Maybe a letter K. Who knows.....Well I'm off to go make an omelet. Apparently, babies love eggs.

Nursery Ideas

Ok...so I know I said I was lucky with feeling great during my pregnancy, BUT there is one thing I have been struggling with: designing Cash's nursery. I know, I know.....he's not even going to know what it looks like, BUT I can't get over wanting it to be perfect. Night after night, I sit in front of the computer for hours looking at baby bedding until I'm in tears.. Can we say PATHETIC??! I don't know why I'm being so indecisive. Anyways, here are a few pieces that I've found that have inspired me. Please give me any input you have. I'm not a creative person and can use all the help I can get.

These next two pictures are both Oilo brand bedding, which my great friend Kari Beth suggested. I LOVE both of these sets, but maybe with turquoise walls??
I stumbled upon this blog, and I absolutely LOVE this nursery. I just love yellow and gray together.
I found these pictures on pinterest. Love the combinations, but not sure how to pull it all off.

To help get an idea of the nursery furniture I have so far, here's a pic of the crib and changing table.
This is the changing table, but we aren't getting the hutch that's on top of it.
So, there you have it. I. NEED. HELP! Please! Any suggestions are welcome! :)

I'm Back!

So, I've decided to start blogging again, even though I feel like I'm horrible at it! The main reason I'm starting up again is to keep a record of being preggo! That's right. We are pregnant with our first baby, which is a boy! His name will be Cash Anthony Kirby. I'm due October 20th. To say these past 5 months have flown by would be an understatement. It seems like just last month I was running out of the bathroom to tell Gary I was pregnant. Of course I had to take 3 more tests, which all said PREGNANT! We couldn't believe it. It still doesn't seem real at times. As of right now, I'm 21 weeks pregnant. I started to feel him move probably about a month ago. It's the neatest feeling! I'm so blessed to have felt great throughout my pregnancy. No morning sickness! I've just been really tired, which I thought would have worn off by now, but it hasn't. Also, I've had occasional mood swings, and luckily Gary is a good sport about it. Most of the time I don't even know what I'm upset about. The only cravings I have really had are hot fudge sundaes. I try not to give into that craving very often though. Here are some pics from our journey with Cash so far. Here we are at Big Cedar Lodge for Gary's birthday. Little did I know, I was about 4 weeks pregnant here!

A few days after we got home from Big Cedar, I decided to take a pregnancy test.....and then another....and another....and another....and another! PREGNANT!

Here we are in Springfield right after finding out we are having a BOY!

Later that night, we met up with family and our closest friends to eat at one of our favorite restaurants where we had our gender reveal cake.

It's a BOY!
Here he is!

We are so excited to meet this little man! I can't imagine what it will be like when I finally get to see him. God is good!
